HOW IT WORKS
01. Free Introductory Call
At buyhomeplan.com, we start with a free 15-30 minute phone consultation to discuss your ideas, vision, and specific requirements for your custom home plan. During this time, we encourage you to share any relevant details such as hand-drawn sketches, lot dimensions, Homeowners Association (HOA) requirements, or even inspiration from example plans, real estate listings, or Pinterest boards. This initial call helps us understand your needs and goals. Once you're ready to move forward, we will provide a contract and request a 50% down payment to kick-start the design process. Your dream home begins here!
02. Concept Plan
After our initial discussion, we take approximately 5 working days to prepare your first draft of the custom home plan. This concept plan will be sent to you via email, offering you a clear visualization of your ideas coming to life. Following the first review, any revisions you require will be returned in 2 working days. Once the drafts are refined, we schedule a live online session to collaborate in real time, allowing you to provide feedback and make changes immediately. We’re committed to ensuring your home reflects your vision.
03. 50% Design
In this phase, we present a 50% complete design set, giving you a detailed look at the foundation of your future home. In the second session, we’ll fine-tune the design and explore different options by showcasing your house in 3D. This real-time comparison of various design alternatives allows you to visualize your space and make informed decisions about layout, structure, and aesthetics. With the 50% design in hand, you’ll feel confident that your home is taking shape exactly as you imagined.
04. 90% Design
As we approach the final stages, we deliver the 90% complete design for your review. This is the time to give us any final feedback and ensure every detail aligns with your expectations. We will incorporate your comments and adjustments before completing the design process. Your home’s design is almost finalized, and we’ll make sure every element—big or small—is exactly what you envisioned. This stage is about precision, and your input is essential to creating a home that fits your lifestyle.
05. Renderings & Finishes
If you've chosen our Ultimate Design Package, we’ll hold a third session focused on materials and finishes. This is the exciting part where we create live 3D renderings of your house, swapping between different materials and textures so you can see your options come to life. We’ll also provide a preliminary 3D tour, allowing you to explore the home and suggest any last-minute changes. After this, your dream home is ready to be fully realized!
06. Deliverables: Final Drawings & Visuals
Once you’ve approved the 90% design, we’ll finalize the construction drawings and any remaining visualizations. These will be delivered the next working day, and upon final payment of the remaining 50%, you’ll receive everything you need to proceed with engineering and permits.
